my first ever Face Of The Day (FOTD)

hello my lovelies, so this is my second ever post, but it's my first ever beauty related post and I don't know if you can tell but I'm VERY EXCITED!
this is my face of the day, I hope you like it :)

I started off (after I'd cleansed my face and removed all my other make-up) with my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in the shade 100 Ivory. This claims to have 'traceless coverage', and I find this to be true, as it doesn't really look like I'm wearing foundation when I use this. I would say it is a light coverage, which is fine for me as my skin is quite even usually, apart from where I have spot scarring on my lower forehead (the bit between my eyebrows).

Next I applied the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (in shade 2, Light) underneath my eyes, as I have big under eye circles, which are inherited (cheers mum). This concealer is raved about everywhere so I don't want to say too much about it which I'm sure you'd have heard before! I also apply it any blemishes I have (including my scarring). I blended it with the ecotools concealer brush.

I thought the bronze looked stunning... Until I actually put it on my eyes.

For my eye shadow I used this cream eyeshadow duo from elf. I have absolutely no idea what this is called, I can't find the name anywhere. So if you know, please comment below (haha, that rhymed). When I swatched it I was pleasantly surprised at the colour payoff, but unfortunately the darker colour didn't end up like that on my eyes, as you will see at the end. Once I had blended them, you couldn't even tell that one on. Maybe it would have been better if I added another layer, but I'm a lazy so and so and couldn't be bothered to:))) I was thoroughly disappointed with that, but I do have to say that the pinky-slivery colour (great description by moi there) looked great in the inner corner.

I thought I'd do a cat-eye look today, so that's exactly what I did. I used the Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner, which I lurvvvveee, as this is actually my 2nd one of these.

I also used a Soft Kohl pencil liner by rimmel in 011 Sable Brown (for some reason that reminded me of those 2 hedgehog sisters in Animal Crossing... Maybe one of them was called Sable?). I just used this on my lower waterline, to define my eyes a bit more.

I used my Seventeen Doll'd Up for mascara. This mascara is okay, it certainly makes your lashes look curled, as long as you've actually curled them first. It makes them stay a bit longer. However, it is no match for the Number 7 Exquisite Curl, but I think might have been discontinued as I can't find it ANYWHERE :((( if you know anything about it, please let me know as I am desperate for a new one!

I recommend getting the 6-piece ecotools brush set. I use every single item from it!

I always use my elf Eyebrow Kit for filling in my eyebrows. It's the first thing I ever used on my brows, and I've never used anything else (I seriously need to be more adventurous.. Eyebrow Pencil has now been added to my shopping list). It comes with a gel/cream (on the left) and a powder (right). It also comes with a brush, with an angled brush on one side and a powder brush on the other. It also has a handy mirror. I love love love it, and since it's from elf it's super cheap, at only £3.75. I would recommend it to beginners. First of course I brush my brows, then fill dem innnnn. Afterward I make them stay put with an MUA clear mascara which I didn't photograph because it is, to be honest, looking quite disgusting.

Before I put anything on my lips I always like to prep them with my Bubblegum Flavored Lip Scrub from Lush. Firstly, it gets all the chapped skin off your lips, and secondly, it tastes like heaven. Once I'd licked my lips clean, I decided against applying lipstick, so I just added this Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in the shade Snog. I love the colour of this, it's a gorgeous pink, and it also smells delicious, so it's a thumbs up from me.

Lastly I put on powder and blush. For powder I used the 17 Miracle Matt Loose Powder, which I strongly dislike and I have no idea why... I used it simply to get rid of it, haha... For blush I used this Max Factor Blush in the shade Chestnut. It's so old, I don't even know if they still do it! It used to be my mum's. It's such a natural shade, that just makes you look fresh faced and lurvaly. I applied them both with my ecotools blush brush (must have had a thing for them today) which is sooo soft. I'm brushing it on my arm as I type.

The Finished Look:

Sorry about the messy hair haha

This shot was mainly so you could see the lips. I'm aware of how beautiful I look here;) tempted to delete this one off here ahaha.

CHEESY SMILEEEE

Close up of my lurverly mud coloured eye:)))) as I mentioned before, you literally cannot tell I've got any darker colour on. Sigh.

And right here is my model pose of the week. Don't dis my posing skills (and my huge hand). Actually reflecting on this it looks like I'm picking my nose.. I promise you I'm not.

SO THAT WAS MY FIRST EVER PROPER POST! Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it:) I'd also like to say please do not steal my pictures, I spent a fair amount of time on them so... See you again soon:)))
